The yeoman has entered the war room

cerberusyeoman:

When returning to the Normandy after the fight against the Collectors and the start of the Reaper war, Kelly wasn’t sure of what to expect. Even then, having to work with another turian aside from Garrus, a primach even, was not what he had expected.

“Sir, I’m Kelly Chambers,” she introduced herself, her ever-present datapad in hand. “I’m responsible for assuring the mental well-being of those aboard the ship. I wanted to know, how are you acclimating to life aboard the Normandy?”

He extended a triple-digited hand for the woman to take, noting the datapad in her grasp.  He wondered at the woman’s military rank and position – these human ships were lax, by the Hierarchy’s standards, and he sometimes found himself wondering at the non-essential personnel wandering the ship.  That said, not a single crewman he had yet encountered seemed unprofessional or incapable.  He had no reason, given past evidence, to suspect that even this woman, whose rank was indeterminate (really, all of these cloth uniforms revealed nothing of the individual’s station!) would be anything less than superb.

“A pleasure.” he grated, noting the lack of rank in her introduction.  No matter.  He was hardly one for pomp. She had some sort of formal appointment – mental health, really? – but it was a station with which he was blisteringly unfamiliar.  “It’s been…an adjustment.  The design feels turian, but the arrangement is unquestionably human.  It’s disorienting, to say the least.  I assure you, my mental state is fine.  I hardly need check-ups.” He returned, more gruffly than he had really intended to.
