Shepard actually poked her finger against his chest,

“If the 501st Legion out of the Apien Crest weren’t so eager to allow their tempers to get away with them, and make stupid remarks about ‘meatshields’, we wouldn’t be in this position. The Turians aren’t the victims here, Primarch - not entirely,” and here she poked him again, intent on pushing him backwards a half step,

"It is no one’s right to pass judgement without getting both sides of the story, Victus - you know that better than anyone. I’m not going to let you jeopardize the safety of the galaxy because no one would listen to the Krogan,” she responded. Thank goodness Wrex wasn’t here or this wouldn’t end peacefully.

He did not give ground;it was not in the old general’s nature to beat a hasty retreat.  The human was watched with a keen, hardened stare, not unlike that of a bird of prey.  However, nor did he brush away her accusatory finger, and it was the greatest measure of acquiescence that he would allow.

"Indeed, Commander. He agreed, teeth grating together like a war bird clenching its talons.  “And I will accept nothing less than the immediate investigation of the disturbance by officers of both squadrons and their duty to mete out the appropriate punishments accordingly.  I do not expect the turians to be exempt from this."  He stared her down, posture ramrod straight, hands clasped behind his back.  He was the image of military poise.

"I do not appreciate, and will not tolerate, the insinuation that my soldiers are to blame for inciting this…incident."  The clack of mandibles.  "At least, not until due evidence has been found.” The addendum was subdued, phrased almost an admission of apology.
